Divine Reset (reposted from my deleted blog page)

Remember when you were a kid and you just wanted a do-over? Somebody would beat you in a race, you wouldn't touch home base in time, maybe you false started at the starting line, or you colored outside the lines, somebody couldn't find you in hide n seek or cheated on a board game... You'd yell "do-over!!!" And you'd have an automatic, eye rolling, totally-within-the-boundaries-of-normal fresh start.

Wouldn't that be nice to have in adulthood? You mess up your relationship, your finances tank, you get an unfavorable diagnosis, you're alone, you end up in trouble with the law... whatever it is. All you'd have to do is yell "do-over!!!" and you get another chance. A fresh start. A magical "try again". Is that not what salvation and baptism are all about? Didn't Jesus tell us that we are new creatures once we say yes to Him and rise up out of the watery grave? Jesus explained it to Nicodemus like this: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.   That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:3‭-‬7 KJV". Sounds like a new man, new creation... fresh start...do-over...Divine Reset

I'm not saying all your problems, bad habits, etc disappear in the water, but you sure do get to start over. Try again. Do it right. And you have help!! Acts 2:38 says: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." The Holy Spirit is waiting. Find yourself a church, get yourself some knowledge, find the love of Jesus, get in the water...and be made new. No time like the present...and it's never too late...as long as you have breath there is time. Get after it!
